An intensive 8-week course with Sarah Corbett
Aimed at poets who have been writing seriously for at least 2 years and are ready to develop their work to a professional level.
Over 8 weekly sessions you will critique new work in a workshop setting with exercises set for homework, explore key poetic techniques, develop your individual themes and concerns, and read and discuss new trends in contemporary poetry. At the end of the course you will receive a written report on your finished poems.
There will be a reading week break for Easter Week

Sarah Corbett is an internationally recognized poet with five poetry collections to
date, most recently A Perfect Mirror (Liverpool University Press/Pavilion Poetry
2018) and eighteen year’s experience teaching Creative Writing. A graduate of the
University of East Anglia’s MA in Creative Writing, Sarah holds a PhD in Critical
and Creative Writing from Manchester University and is a lecturer in Creative
Writing for Lancaster University.
